It's the first Dragon Ball video game developed for the PC platform and the first to feature full 3D battle environments.
In the Xenoverse, players are given freedom to travel the Earth and explore locations contained in the Dragon Ball Universe.
The game lets players create their own new characters and personalize them for the story mode according to five races: Earthling, Majin, Saiyan, Namekian or Frieza.
It features a completely new story, focusing on the main player-created character. It's entirely different from the previous Dragon Ball games that follow the original storyline.
Developers included a new mysterious city that is the origin of the new player-created character.
The history of Dragon Ball is altered in this new game. Players are tasked to traverse the timeline and correct history.
Towa and Mira from Dragon Ball Online are featured in the game along four other characters: TokiToki, Supreme Kai of Time, Goku and Vegeta.
Players have the ability to fight on the ground, in the air or underwater. When they fight, a dialogue takes place between the characters.
Gamers also have a chance to see and play a new female Saiyan figure for the first time.
During a presentation at Bandai Namco, Masahiro Kashino of Dimps said: "I'd like the Dragon Ball fans' dreams come true in this game,"
"In Japan, all the children are practicing the kamehameha in their bedrooms ... all of them! In this game, your dreams come true, you can make your own character and do the kamehameha."
