"Uh... He's actually my fiancé," said the 27-year-old actress, when asked whether Bow Wow is her boyfriend.
The 27-year-old rapper, on the other hand, appeared to confirm the engagement by posting a photo of her, wearing the diamond engagement ring, on his Instagram account on Sunday.
The two reportedly met on the set of the R&B and hip hop music video show "106 & Park," which the rapper hosts.
Sources said it seems the couple began dating after Mena appeared on Bow Wow's show and kissed on camera six months ago.
The actress has starred in several music videos before she became a cast member on the reality TV series "Love & Hip Hop."
She will return for the upcoming season of the said show in November.
Both Bow Wow and Mena have children from previous relationships.
The actress has a six-year-old son named King, while Bow Wow has a three-year-old daughter named Shai Moss from former girlfriend Joie Chavis.
In his early days, the rapper was known as Lil' Bow Wow, which was given to him by rapper Snoop Dogg.
He released his first album at the tender age of 13.
Eventually, he started to venture in other careers like acting and hosting.
He already appeared in various films such as "Like Mike," "Roll Bounce," and "Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift."
It was reported that the rapper will reprise his role as Twinkie in the seventh installment of the "Fast and Furious" film series.
