AT&T is offering a sweet deal to its current and future customers.

The new bundle deal from the telco comes with the U-basic TV, HBO and HBO Go, U-verse Internet Max Plus that provides up to 18 megabits per second downstream, and a free one year of Amazon Prime.

The bundle costs US$39 per month. It's only available in areas where AT&T has launched U-verse, however.

Customers need to sign up for a 12-month contract and standards rates will apply, as well.

AT&T is the first wireless carrier that includes one year of Amazon's Prime, which is normally US$99 per year in the U.S.

The deal is beneficial to Amazon since the giant e-commerce website is trying to create a video streaming service that can compete against Netflix.

Amazon Prime will have new content and a huge archive of old HBO shows and these are the unique selling point of Prime. The HBO shows are original series over three years' old like "The Wire" and "The Sopranos."

AT&T said the bundle "allows customers to benefit from significant savings, the ability to watch popular content across their devices and surf with faster broadband speeds.

Additionally, AT&T is also offering a deal with U-verse Internet customers only. The deal includes a TV that combines broadband and a free year of Amazon Prime. The cost is US$29.95 per month and available in selected locations --Atlanta, Chicago, Houston and San Francisco.

AT&T will end the bundle offer on December 13, 2014. The bundle will be available to new residential U-verse customers that order online.

The price mentioned above doesn't include regulatory fees or a "broadcast TV surcharge," and a US$49 activation fee is needed.
