Joe Ma Takes On Playboy Gangster Role in 'Harmony is a Virtue'

Hong Kong actor Joe Ma takes on the role of a flirtatious gangster involved with three different women at the same time in the upcoming TVB comedy drama 'Harmony is a Virtue'.

Ma stars on a new TVB production entitled 'Harmony is a Virtue', taking on the role of a playboy gangster who will be involved with the characters played by his co-stars Kate Tsui, Carat Cheung and Tracy Chu.

The four stars recently filmed a scene in their drama on a set at Ma On Shan and Ma shared that has not been getting enough rest as of late, saying that he only got around three hours of sleep for the production and that his throat is starting to hurt.

Ma, who has been working for TVB for 21 years now, praised his co-stars Chu and Cheung for being fast learners despite being newcomers in the industry.

On the other hand, Tsui revealed that Ma had to say the most outrageous lines for his scenes, also sharing that the actor kept teasing her.

"He sounds like a pervert," says Tsui jokingly when asked about the actor.

As for her role, the 35-year old actress said that she portrays a mediator in the drama series. Tsui said that she has prepared for the role as much as she could by researching about it.

Her character is married to that of her co-star Stefan Wong, however, in the middle of their marriage, Cheung's character would go between the couple. Tsui shared that Cheung's character is her nemesis and would often upset her.

Cheung's character is that of a flamboyant woman who wears different colored wigs in the drama.

On the other hand, Chu's character in the story is that of an autistic woman. The actress revealed that it was a challenging role to take on.

Tsui also praised the two actresses, saying that there was no pressure working with them as they have been very professional on set, listening well to the tips she has shared with them.
