(Photo : REUTERS) Miss America Kira Kazantsev admitted that she participated in hazing but was not the reason why she was ousted from her sorority.
Despite winning Miss America for her perfect All-American persona, Miss New York Kira Kazantsev reportedly has a deep dark secret. Kazantsev, along with her best friend, was booted out of the Alpha Phi sorority at Hofstra University for apparently hazing new pledges.
At the time Kazantsev was booted out in 2013, she was serving as head of recruitment for the sorority.

Sources claim that Kazantsev and her gal pal made the lives of the new recruits "a living hell", calling them names, spewing hateful comments about their flaws and imperfections and making them do physical tasks so extreme that they ended up injured and bruised.
An unidentified individual told on Kazantsev and her friend and, after an investigation that lasted a whole month, the pair was expelled from Alpha Phi.
The national Alpha Phi sorority nor the branch in Hofstra have not claimed Kazantsev as one of their own, despite her winning the title of Miss America.
Hofstra University did not comment or confirm anything regarding the issue due to student privacy laws.
However, a spokeswoman for the prestigious Miss America pageant stated that Kazantsev had disclosed the issue to them even before she won the title. The organization instead chooses to focus on the achievements of Kazantsev.
"It's unfortunate that this incident has been exploited to create a storyline that distracts from what we should be focusing on: Kira's impressive academic achievements at Hofstra University, including earning a triple major from the Honors College and her commitment to serving her community," she shared.
The spokeswoman called Kazantsev "exceptional" and share that she is an asset to the organization.
Kazantsev is the third consecutive Miss New York to win the title.
Two of her advocacies are the empowerment of women who are tormented by domestic violence and planned parenthood.
Although she has been criticized for her stance on planned parenthood, Kazantsev that she merely wants teens to be able to know that there are resources out there that will help them learn the value of respecting their bodies and other people's bodies.
