Samsung got its inspiration to release its new Galaxy Note 4 phablet earlier from the unveiling of Apple's iPhone 6 last September 9.
Apple set a new retail record for its opening sale of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with 10 million units sold in just 72 hours.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said that they could have sold more units with more supplies.

Originally, Samsung chose October for the release of its Galaxy 4 Note phablet. It moved its Korean launch to September 26, however, in response to Apple's success with the new iPhone.
The new 5.7-inch display Note 4 will be availabile worldwide by the end of October. Some 140 other markets will have the chance to buy the new Galaxy phablet line.
Note 4 features a Quad HD resolution and a fast-charging battery. It runs Android KitKat and a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor.
Last week, Samsung also announced its new handset will go on sale in the United Kingdom on October 10. It will also be available for pre-order in the United States. Shipping will start on October 14.
The South Korean gadget maker is popular for its larger-display phablets.
Samsung has not yet released the selling price of the Galaxy Note 4 but the recommended retail price is US$921.
