Authorities believe that the man who killed two men and committed suicide afterwards on Tuesday at a UPS shipping center in Alabama had been troubled after being laid off a day prior to the shooting.
Kerry Joe Tesney, a 45-year-old man from Trussville, shot himself after gunning down two men who were not named, but were identified to be high-ranking employees of UPS.

One was said to be a supervisor in one of the UPS warehouses, Birmingham Police Lt. Sean Edwards stated. The incident was reported to authorities around 9:21 a.m.
Edwards believes that Tesney knew who he wanted to target during the encounter.
All of the victims, including the gunman, had been found in the company's warehouse area near the offices.
Reports stated that Tesney worked in UPS, but was fired on Monday. This, however, was not confirmed by UPS spokesman Steve Gaut who also refused to say the shooter's job at the company though a LinkedIn page listed him as a driver for the shipping company.
According to the New York Daily, the company had tried to terminate Tesney during the past month, but had reconsidered their decision after the man filed an appeal.
According to court records, a company in Birmingham had sued UPS and Tesney for wrongly picking up a $4,000 radiator that was set to be shipped in 2010. However, a judge ruled in favor of the UPS and Tesney.
Nonetheless, it was not immediately known if the past case was linked to Tesney's termination at UPS.
According to NorthPark Baptist Church pastor Bill Wilks, Tesney and his wife had been with the church since 2003 and had spoken of being "troubled" over his financial situation and his work.
"I think it's been an ongoing situation. In his own spirit he's been troubled, and he's asked for prayer about that," Wilks stated.
The couple had also been listed as distributors for Advocare, a marketing company that offers health and fitness products.
