On September 11th, 2013, in the 7th World Economic Forum "Summer Davos", Antonella Mei-Pochtler, Senior Partner and Managing Director of Boston Consulting Group, the world-famous business strategic consulting company, met with Xiao Hong, Chief Executive Officer of Perfect World, a China-based online game company. Both sides exchanged views on the current situation of China's game industry and its global developing trend.

According to the authoritative data in "China's Game Industry Report", the total sales incomes of China's game industry in 2012 reached RMB 60.28 billion Yuan, a year-on-year growth of 35.1%. It is expected that the sales incomes of China's game industry will reach RMB 135.22 billion Yuan by 2017. Recent years has witnessed the rapid development of China's game industry, which attracted the whole world's attention. The huge internet market and enormous potential of the interactive entertainment industry have long been paid close attention to by global research and consulting institutes.
