Priscilla Wong Shelved by TVB; Grace Chan and Sisley Choi New Favorites

Hong Kong actress Priscilla Wong is said to have been cast aside by TVB without any job offers while the company turned its attention to the pool of Miss Hong Kong contestants, choosing Grace Chan and Sisley Choi as their new favorites.

Wong is currently not given any projects by TVB, her managing company, and the reason is believed to have been due to an internal political conflict between the Director of Production, Sandy Yu and Director of Drama Production Catherine Tsang.

According to reports, Yu favored Wong and offered many projects to the actress in the past since she joined TVB in 2012, but since Yu had a conflict with Tsang, it is said that the actress was affected and later on, shelved despite being widely considered as a hot newcomer.

It is said that Wong is now suffering from a loss of jobs despite being the company's favorite in the past, having been given lead roles in 'Reality Check' and 'Karma Rider'.

On the other hand, speculations say that TVB has shifted its resources to the existing pool of Miss Hong Kong winners, particularly that of last year.

According to reports, Grace Chan, who was crowned Miss Hong Kong 2013, and Sisley Choi, who was a runner-up, were both quickly promoted from being hosts in variety shows to acting in dramas.

Despite being newcomers, Chan and Choi have been commended for being fast-learners and professionals artists.

Chan has been cast in 'Overachievers' and 'Quid Pro Quo' due to her outstanding beauty and elegance. She is also given the chance to play a lead role in the period drama 'Cheung Po Tsai' with Ruco Chan.

On the other hand, Choi is a highly-sought after actress in romance dramas and is the female lead in the drama 'Cross the Finish Line'. She also starred in the same dramas that Chan appeared in.
