After his recent knockout victory with Roy "Big Country" Nelson, Mark "The Super Samoan" Hunt is lobbying for his next opponent in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight Josh "Warmaster" Barnett.
After only two rounds, Hunt knocked out Nelson. This was a feat that has not been replicated by any other fighter in the UFC heavyweight division until then.

For most of the fight, Hunt took his time, inching forward slowly to deliver leg kicks and combinations. After backing Nelson up to the cage, Hunt caught him ducking in to an uppercut.
The fighter from New Zealand - but who now identifies Australia as his home - was virtually unscathed in his previous fight and is cleared to fight in four weeks in a UFC card in Sydney.
In the media press conference after the UFC Fight Night card in Japan, Hunt said that he would rather not fight someone who isn't in the top ten, as he sees it as a step back.
Given that all the other heavyweights are already matched up, Hunt said that he liked rematches as he hinted that he wants a bout with Barnett.
Back when both fighters were fighting in the prestigious PRIDE Championships in Japan, Barnett submitted Hunt with a Kimura in the first round.
Apart from that, the loss broke Hunt's five-fight winning streak and started his six-fight losing streak.
Barnett understands Hunt's challenge, stating that all fighters want to rectify past losses and gain vengeance.
Hunt, on the other hand, has not lost a rematch yet and is eager to best Barnett to get one step closer to a title fight.
