In the art exhibition, 120 paintings of Chinese influential painters, including Qi Baishi and Li Kuchan, are on display. Meanwhile, more than 30 precious copies of Mao Zedong's manuscripts in his middle school days are also on show in the art exhibition.

During the art exhibition, the time span of Mao Zedong's manuscripts ranges from 1912 to 1967. The earliest manuscript is Mao Zedong's composition in the middle school.

According to Chen Fangguo, a researcher of Party History Research Centre in Wuhan City, the essay of Mao Zedong on show is around 500 words. Mao Zedong's teacher at that time once commented under the essay, saying, "the essay follows the trend of the times. The writer is well informed and far-sighted. It seems like an article in the newspaper. The essay will be useful to our society." It is said the composition is the earliest existing manuscript of Chairman Mao.

Among the manuscripts on show this time, there are Mao Zedong's telegrams to Chiang Kai-shek about Chongqing negotiations, Mao Zedong's official instructions on Chinese notorious corruption cases of Liu Qingshan and Zhang Zishan. Besides, Mao Zedong's painting "Buddha's Hand Fruit" in the middle school is also on display in the art exhibition, including some other poetry manuscripts.

The exhibition is organized by Memorial Hall of Wuchang Uprising in 1911 Revolution, Beijing Memorial Hall of New Cultural Movement and Chinese Calligraphers Association jointly. The exhibition will last until October 8th. Tourists can visit the art exhibition for free.
