Valve is expanding the functionality of its Steam client farther than just offering games to Linux, Mac and PC gamers as it launched the Steam Music Player on Wednesday. The music player, which can be found inside the desktop client, makes it easier to play the music while gaming.

Some might find the addition of the player handy, forgoing of the need to switch between programs constantly to play, skip or queue tracks. Valve has also made the soundtracks found in games in the Steam catalogue present in a gamer's music library.
From time to time, developers include the soundtrack of their games in Valve's digital marketplace, and if the title is purchased, so is the album. It appears in the list of content that the user owns.
Gamers can now buy and play the audio in the very client that they bought it with.
While the Valve added the new feature to the Steam client, it also made modifications in one of the video games it has developed.
The company has announced it will release patch 6.82 for its hit video game, "Dota 2," in which a major modification includes changes to the map.
Nevermore the Shadow Fiend is the headline figure in the new patch, and the hero will get a cosmetic overhaul. In addition, the map upon which magic, swords and blades are played will receive significant changes.
Unlike online multiplayer games, "Dota 2" is only played on a single lopsided map. Being familiar with the subtle differences in venues is an element of the title's strategic depth.
In the new patch, the pit of Roshan, the most powerful neutral combatant in the game, has been slightly repositioned, as well as path and small terrain alterations around the map.
Aside from adding a new rune, a special item on the map that is used up and gives added effects for a short period of time, its spawning mechanics have changed.
