Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization, World Series of Fighting (WSOF) looks to revamp its business strategy late in 2015, by giving 50 percent of their pay-per-view buys to participating fighters in the card.
For a while now, fighters from the WSOF have been complaining about their abysmal salaries at their organization.

According to reports released that indicate fighter payouts, prior cards had only paid the fighters in the main event as much as US$20,000, despite impressive records and reputations.
This certainly does nothing for their rivalry against the premier MMA organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
The UFC's basic rates for fighters starts off with US$8,000 to show, and double if the fighter wins.
The champions on the other hand are reported to gain as much as US$200,000, as was the case with Anderson Silva before. This is ten times more than the WSOF has been paying top-tier fighters.
However, WSOF is implementing a "game changer."
Initially, WSOF signed a television deal with NBC. Now though, they are advancing to the next step with pay-per-views, with the first one coming in the second half of 2015.
Ray Sefo, the President of WSOF, said that one of the main things holding fighters back is insufficient pay. If fighters do not get paid enough, then they soon lose hope and are dismayed. This could affect how they train and their subsequent performances.
This new step will surely inspire some fighters from the organization to train harder to become a champion.
It is an alternative avenue to earning a comfortable living in MMA, and one that doesn't involve having to sign up with Zuffa and the UFC.
