Newly-single Jason Derulo has already confirmed that he and singer Jordin Sparks have thrown in the towel in an interview with KDWB on Thursday.
Derulo noted that he and Sparks will still remain as friends as he was even hesitant to talk about the split. However, as the conversation grew, Derulo noted that everything is cool and that they are not in a bad situation. He added it's "not one of those kinds of things."

Although an insider said that the couple, who have been together for three years now, is taking the split tough. The sources said that the two are both upset but they could not do anything about it since it was not working. Travelling and their work schedules were pinpointed as the main problems that eventually caused them to call it quits.
The split has shocked the couple's fans as they seemed to be really happy together. In an interview before, Derulo even wrote this song for Jordin entitled "Marry Me". He said that he wrote the song because he wanted Jordin to know that when the right time comes, they will be in front of the altar.
It's not yet confirmed when the couple hit rock bottom since the two were even spotted on August during the MTV Video Music Awards. Also just this summer, Derulo was a guest judge on the show "So You Think You Can Dance" and Sparks was seen in the audience cheering for her beau.
Also, earlier in August, Derulo had this neck injury and he was interviewed about it. He said that that time he was at the hospital, he really felt like he needed Sparks in his world. It was even speculated that the two would get married soon.
As for Sparks, she has not released any comment yet nor did her representatives. She was probably recording a new song yesterday as she tweeted "Stu. Di. O."
