Middle Eastern Broadcasting Center, otherwise known as MBC, was forced to make an apology, following its release of a 'gay list of shame' article that featured names of actors and actresses including Daniel Radcliffe and Cameron Diaz among others.
MBC apologized for publishing an article that shamed the gay community which involved several high-profile names in the showbiz industry. The article they have published stated that homosexuality is shameful, thus going against ethical values.

Said article, which was recently featured in a segment called 'Scoop With Raya' on the website MBC.com, falsely accused Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe of being gay and cited Cameron Diaz as a bisexual.
Additionally, singer-songwriter legend Elton John was also mentioned in the segment with the broadcaster saying that the knighted singer wore a wedding dress to marry David Furnish.
Daytime-show host Ellen DeGeneres, 'How I Met Your Mother' star Neil Patrick Harris and singer Ricky Martin were also targeted in said article.
Following the release of the article and the rather lengthy apology of Raya Abi Rached who is the broadcaster for said segment, MBC has released an official statement, stressing that said article is in no way related to Abi Rached or the show itself.
Instead, MBC blamed a junior editor for publishing said article without checking to get the facts straight and also for plagiarizing a piece from another Arabic website.
Said junior editor is currently said to have been reprimanded and is now on probation while the website continues to investigate other personnel under their employ who do the same 'irresponsible behavior'.
Additionally, the written statement says that the claims made in the article does not reflect the views of the people behind the website nor is it reflected in the editorial policy of MBC.
The site has then apologized to the celebrities who were offended by said article, saying that these artists who were targeted in the list are loved and followed by the majority in the Arab world.
