Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 is the new flagship in Samsung's Galaxy S Duos series while Android One handsets are designed after the needs of emerging markets.

Hardware and Operating System

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3: It runs Android 4.4.2 Kitkat with Samsung's owned TouchWiz Essence user interface. Galaxy S Duos 3 is powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor. It has 512 MB of RAM and a 4 GB internal storage. For expansion, it has microSD slot.

Android One: Its operating system is Android 4.4 Kitkat and it's powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processors. Its RAM is 1GB and it's got an internal storage of 4 GB expandable into 32 GB via a microSD slot.

Phone Display

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3: Sports a 4-inch WVGA screen with a 480 x 800 screen resolution and the TFT technology.

Android One: It has a bigger screen, 4.5-inch FWVGA and its screen resolution is 854 x 480.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3: Featuring a VGA front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel LED flash rear-facing camera.

Android One: It features a 5 MP rear-facing camera and a 2 MP rear-facing camera.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3: The phone relies on its 1,500 mAh battery life.

Android One: Its battery capacity is up to 1,700 mAh.

Both smartphones support a dual SIM capability.

There are no announcements about the exact selling prices but both promise to be affordable.

Android One was first released in India. Soon, emerging markets like Pakistan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka will get the phone before the year ends.

Both budget smartphones are only available in emerging countries for now and there's no news if they'll be launched in Western countries.
