Qimini, a company developed by Hong Kong-based Tektos, Ltd., recently announced plans to launch a new small device called Deuce that lets users charge smartphones wirelessly.
Deuce will cost only US$59. It's a successor to Qimini's Pocket device introduced last year.

The new device is a small-sized thin plate that comes in many different colors.
It lets users place their phones atop it for wireless charging. It connects to computers via a USB cable for its own power source.
Once a user's phone is charged, Deuce automatically recognizes its job is done and begins charging itself. Users can later tuck in the USB cable and store the charger.
Unlike Qimini's previous Pocket technology which doesn't use a battery,
Deuce is designed to be portable. Users can bring the device wherever they want to. Recharge power comes from a 2,000 mAh back up battery.
It gives phones 50 percent battery their average battery lives and works on the Nexus 5, Nokia Lumia 930 and LG G 3 smartphones.
For other smartphones such as Samsung's Galaxy S4 and S5, users will need a Qi sticker. For Apple's iPhone 5, 5S and 5C, users will need a Qi case.
"With Deuce, we decided to take one step forward, what we've done is we've embedded true wireless charging technology." said Tom Mulvenna, Vice President of Telecommunication at Qimini.
"Myself and the team here at Qimini, I'm happy to say, we are so proud of the results. We believe that the future of charging is wireless charging."
