Sony announced some bad news for PlayStation 3 owners and PlayStation 4/Vita owners, as well.
The company said its virtual world might not appear on PS Vita or PS4. It added that the PS3 version of the service is going to shut down early next year in the United States, Canada and Europe.

The announcement came from the post of community managers in North America and Europe. They both said that it points to "a shifting landscape."
The Japanese electronics maker said it will no longer publish new content for Home after November 12. They gave users until December 3 to download any content they want.
Users that still used Home in the previous months will receive some free but unspecified content.
The complete shutdown of PlayStation Home service will occur on March 31, 2015.
This isn't surprise news at all. Last August, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan previously announced the shutdown of Home's Asian services.
PlayStation Home first debuted at Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco in 2007 as a free Second Life-style virtual world where players create a virtual version of their selves. Users could build an apartment, meet with virtual friends, socialize and watch movies or play games.
Though Home didn't meet its full potential, it gained millions of users after its launch in 2008.
In 2011, it received overhauls and additional game-themed content.
