The Shanghai Tourism Administration announced on Friday hosting different events for the upcoming National Day.
The tourism authority said parks and other scenic spots would be hosting a number of events for the holiday. Exhibitions showcasing Italian wedding culture and chocolate would be featured on the Chocolate Happyland. The show would run from October 1 to 15.

The exhibit in Chocolate Happyland will also held talks about the history of chocolate. It would be followed by a free-tasting event for the audience. Happyland would also host a painting contest for children.
Meanwhile, another event is scheduled at the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium. The water park has introduced an underwater robot to greet guests that are visiting for the holiday. This is the first time that an aquarium would be using an underwater robot in China.
Underwater robots are mainly used for missions held on the ocean floor. However, the one used at Shanghai Ocean Aquarium would be used to display what it sees in the aquarium along with its interaction with divers. Electronic screens will be displayed for viewers.
The biggest species of sponge crab in the world would also be featured in the aquarium. This would be another reason for visitors not to miss the event during China’s holiday.
Another event would transpire at the Shanghai Zoo. An exhibition showcasing 30 species of butterflies would be featured during the National Holiday. Butterfly bookmark making would also be available for visitors during the event.
A flower exhibit would also be done at the Shanghai Botanical Garden. Flowers that would go on display include chrysanthemums and osmanthus. A dinosaur display for both young and old would also be available during the holiday.
Songjiang Districts’ Chenshan Botanical Garden would also host 10 concerts. A sunflower exhibit is also expected along with fruit and vegetable display for the Chinese National Day.
