Hundreds of Robin Williams' family and friends gathered at the Curran Theater in San Francisco for a private tribute to commemorate the late comedian's life. The majority of the event was organized by Williams' daughter, Zelda.
Among the dozens of celebrities to attend the 2-hour event were Williams' close friends, Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal and Bonnie Hunt. Crystal, who led the Academy Award tribute to the late actor, was reportedly shedding tears as he once again took to the stage to remember his old friend and open the event.

Other celebrities present in the tribute included Ben Stiller, Seth Green, Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, Lance Armstrong, George Lucas, Pam Dawber, Eddie Izzard, Bette Midler, Joel McHale, Jeff Bridges, Josh Groban and Marlo Thomas.
Also present were Williams' third wife, Susan Shneider, and his three children, Zak, Zelda and Cody.
His three children lovingly talked about their departed father, after which, Stevie Wonder and the Glide Musical Choir gave a musical tribute.
The theater was adorned with photos of the iconic performer and wristbands which stated "Love the stillness of life" were handed out to those who attended the tribute.
After one emotional speech after the other, the group headed to the nearby Westin St. Francis Hotel for the reception.
The event came six weeks after the comedian, who was suffering from early stages of Parkinson's, took his own life in his home. He was 63 years old.
A day after his passing, Williams' body was cremated and his ashes were scattered at San Francisco Bay.
Comedian Rob Schneider took to social media to share that he believed that the medication Williams was taking for Parkinson's could have contributed to his depression.
On the other hand, Matt Damon, who co-starred with Williams in "Good Will Hunting" shared that he has the comedian to thank for where he is today.
"Ben [Affleck] and I owe everything to him. He said yes to our movie and he got it made. I could never thank him enough. I look around at the life I have and how blessed I feel and so much of it started with him."
