28-year old Lena Dunham, star and creator of "Girls", stated that she didn't really like having sex until she turned 25 and met her current boyfriend of two years, Jack Antonoff, the lead guitarist of Fun.

Although Dunham hasn't been shy about featuring very graphic sex scenes in her show, the actress-writer shared that in the past, she worried too much about pleasing her partner rather than getting satisfaction herself. However, the actress believes that she now knows that great sex is.

She said in a video uploaded on her "Ask Lena" YouTube channel that she realized that in order to have good sex, the two people involved have to want to make each other feel good. Rather than being about "alchemy" or being predisposed to just being good at the act, two people have to be willing to give pleasure to each other.

The Golden Globe winner admitted that she has chosen horrible partners in the past to have sex with.

"Before my current boyfriend, who's a lovely, lovely person, I had a train of the most disastrous, despicable, van-dwelling monsters in my bed and my bed and in my life," she confessed. 

She shared that loving yourself is the prerequisite to good sex, stating "When you feel a lot of negativity towards yourself, you're almost sexually attracted to people who are going to reflect that back at you."

Aside from opening herself up to her fans via her YouTube channel, Dunham has literally made her life an open book through her new memoir, "Not That Kind Of Girl".

Dunham's book is a "lesson in transparency". The writer-actress-director shares that people might see her as an "oversharer", but growing up as a daughter of artists and, a sibling of an openly gay younger sister, secrets were never part of their daily lives.
