Reports say that the pickup's driver pulled his car over and talked to J.Lo and Leah but drove off after a few minutes. The police then found him a little while later. He was arrested for the hit-and-run as well as driving under the influence. Details about the suspect has not been released yet and he has not spoken out.
J.Lo took the incident to her Instagram account posting a photo of her and her best friend presumably hours before the SUV was hit. She captioned the photo saying that they were just sitting and riding high before a drunk fool rear ended them in her new car. She also assured that everyone was okay and that she was grateful for that.
Hours before the unfortunate event happened, J.Lo has posted a video of her son who was bopping his head to the song "0 to 100" by Drake. Another photo was posted showing J.Lo's twins, Max and Emme, being hugged by Leah's daughter, Sofia, while in the backseat.
The crew was reportedly on their way to a Demi Lovato concert held at Staples Center in Los Angeles. According to Leah's Instagram page, her ten-year-old daughter was a huge fan of the singer. Leah thanked J.Lo for letting Sophia meet her idol.
In return, J.Lo posted another photo of Sophia and Emme with Demi and captioned the photo with: Such an eventful day for these little ones...hanging w the big girls!! Thank you @ddlovato for being sooo sweet!!"
J.Lo and Leah are both from Brooklyn and has been friends for years now.
