Another favorite Hollywood couple, Randy and Erica Jackson, have joined the long list of couples who have filed for divorce this year. Erica reportedly began the legal process of ending their 18-year marriage on Friday.
Reports have emerged saying that since the couple had no prenuptial agreements, the law requires that half of the man's earnings must be given to his soon-to-be estranged wife.

Randy approximately earned US$40 million from being one of the judges of "American Idol." He has been a judge in the show for 12 years now and reportedly had made around US$5 million per year before he announced last year that he was leaving the show. However, this figure is yet to be talked about by the couple and their lawyers. Deals and arrangements will still be made, an insider noted.
Reports also said that the two are still living together in the same house and are doing great despite the legal papers having been filed and the split of properties almost done. As of now, there are still no allegations of cheating or infidelity between the two.
The two have had two children together. In the documents, Erika said she wants full physical custody and joint legal custody over their 17-year-old son, Jordan. As for their older daughter, Zoe, she has not been mentioned in the documents obtained.
Erika's reason for filing a divorce was reportedly due to "irreconcilable differences." According to an insider, both Randy and Erika already had a plan on how they would be filing the divorce papers, but Erika filed earlier.
Reportedly, Randy was a bit pissed about the situation, saying it's not how he wanted their relationship to end.
This is the second marriage of 58-year-old Randy. who has an older dauighter with his first wife.
