Carter was reported missing on Thursday after she went to show a house near Little Rock to in interested buyer and never returned. She was reported  missing by her husband, Carl, when she was not home by 8 P.M.. Carl found her car in the driveway of the house she was supposed to show to a client.

According to reports, a number of texts were sent from Carter's phone at around 7p.m., but the recipients of the texts, her husband and friend, found them odd as they supposedly didn't sound like the missing woman sent them.

The primary suspect in Carter's disappearance has been identified as 33-year-old Arron Lewis. According to Pulaski County Sheriff Doc Holladay, Lewis fled from officers when they tried to detain him but was caught just minutes later when he was spotted trying to escape on foot.

Authorities handling the case remain hopeful that Carter is still alive, although whether or not Lewis will face kidnapping charges is largely dependent upon the situation of the victim once she is found.

Officials also allege that there are reasonable grounds for Lewis to be suspect in Carter's kidnapping, although they have not yet disclosed the evidence to the public. However, information about Lewis having a criminal history in Kansas, Utah and Arkansas was released.

According to a spokesman from the Arkansas Department of Correction, Shea Wilson, Lewis was sentenced to six years in prison for felony theft of property charges back in 2011 but was let out on parole after serving two years.

A missing poster has been put up on a Facebook page called "Find Beverly" with all the details necessary in helping to find the real estate agent.
