Smile Angel Foundation responds on the missed donation: after live auction, the published donor information and the bidder information might not match, and it is incorrect to compare the bid helpers and people raise bid signs with the actual donors.

Smile Angel Foundation staff states that, "Xiao Yun Zhou is not right to compare the bid helpers and people raise bid signs reported by media with actual donors."
According to the staff, all donations of Smile Angel Foundation are deposited to the assigned account managed by government in accordance with donation management regulations and rules. There is also a donation receipt on each donation donated through live auction.
"In charitable live auctions, some celebrities who are enthusiastic in philanthropy are always willing to use their influence to help with bidding, but they are not the actual and ultimate donors."
It is very common to see the inconformity between actual donors and subscribers. The first reason is subscribers donate with other individual's or company's name. The other reason is there is confusion between bid helpers and subscribers.
Beida Pharmaceutical Co. LTD. donated 50 Million RMB to Smile Angel Foundation, but there is no related financial record about this donation. The Smile Angel Foundation related staff responds that the donation includes cash donation and in-kind donation. Some of both cash donation and in-kind donation are for long-term use and are not one-time donation.
According to contract, the 50 Million valued medicine donations shall be donated in five years. Red Cross Society of China records, audits, and publishes the amount of actual donation after each donation received.
Smile Angel Foundation expresses that the foundation would accept the hurts it receives if the public can pay more attention to and understand more about philanthropy after this incident.
