Last night, as the chief editor of Qianlong.com, the website originally published the cartoon, Ting Man Huang expresses that his editorial team has been inspired by Xi's interview during his trip to Sochi Winter Olympics. During an interview with Russian media as he traveled to the opening ceremony of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Xi said he wondered where his personal time had gone since he assumed the top job in China. Therefore, the editorial team of the Qianlong.com planed and created the cartoon by themselves for a week. They modified the cartoon several times before it is finished.
Xi said that he devoted all his time to work, leaving little left for personal matters. "Where has my time gone? My time surely is used to work." This sentence gave the editorial team inspiration to create the cartoon. "President Xi use very simple words to express himself in the interview, which shows his nice and close image." They decided to use original cartoon image to present Xi's visits to foreign countries, meetings, and investigation since his resumption.
This news with cartoon image is much more popular than text news and gets more public support. It also fits for readers' demand of new reading.
