According to reports, the spokesperson of the National Security Council of the U.S. argues on the incident that President of the U.S. is going to meet Dalai Lama and shows the concern on the continuing tension and human right situation of Tibet area.
Hua responds that China has already lodged serious representations to the U.S. leaders and has urged the U.S. to cancel the plan of meeting Dalai Lama in order not to seriously damage the China-U.S. relationship.
Hua also emphasizes that Chinese people are best qualified to speak on the human rights of Tibet area. Since the peaceful liberty of Tibet, the serf already becomes owners. Tibet's development of economic and society has obtained tremendous achievement, which is a basic truth that anyone without political bias would not deny. Most importantly, Tibet affairs are China's internal affairs that any foreign countries do not have right to interfere.
Hua indicates that Dalai Lama is a political refugee who has been working on anti-China separatist activities in the name of religion. If the U.S. arranges political leaders to meet with Dalai Lama, it will rudely interfere in China's internal affairs, which severely break the international relationship rules and seriously damage China-U.S. relationship as well.
China will firmly oppose any foreign leaders to meet Dalai Lama. If any country would like to insist on damaging China's interest, the country would eventually damage its interest. China urges the U.S. leaders to cancel the meeting with Dalai Lama and not to provide convenience and forum for Dalai Lama to work on anti-China activities.
