Gwyneth Paltrow may have seriously uncoupled with former hubby Chris Martin but that doesn't mean she would snub him from her birthday celebrations. After all, the ex-couple are still friends.

The Academy Award winning actress turned 42 last Saturday.

Coldplay vocalist, Chris Martin was seen arriving hours before the birthday bash took off at Paltrow's home in Brentwood. He was driving his Jeep Wrangler with a noticeable sign of his surname printed outside of his driver-side sun visor.

Hours later, Paltrow's high profile guests, including Nicole Richie, Kate Hudson and her fiance Matt Bellamy, started to arrive.

The party ended around 1 am Sunday and it seems the Iron Man leading lady actually had a great time.

Earlier that day, the birthday girl was ecstatic about celebrating her big day and posted a brilliant snapshot on her Instagram which says: 'thank you for all the birthday wishes! #feelingthelove.'

The actress showed off her toned shoulders while wearing a casual grey tank top with very little make up.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have been married for 10 years before they decided to part ways 10 months ago.

The used to live in Belsize Park in North London, which they bought from English actress Kate Winslet for £2.5million.

The couple decided to move from LA to London in the summer because the actress wanted to live closer to her family.  

Despite their decision to divorce, the former couple were still on a friendly terms.

Radar Online revealed that Martin wants to introduce their children Apple, 10, and Moses, 8, to his new girlfriend, Jennifer Lawrence.

However, sources revealed that Paltrow was shocked to find out her that her former hubby wanted to introduce their kids to Jennifer.

"It won't be happening right away, Chris wants to make sure this relationship is going to just fizzle out before taking such a big step," the source said.

Chris's relationship with the 24-year-old actress started circulating last August after hints of their romance became known while the two were seen talking to each other at the after-party for Coldplay's Royal Albert Hall gig in London in July.
