South Korean actor Lee Min-ho is set to release a new album this month.

According to his agency Starhaus Entertainment, Lee will "release his second album 'Song for You' sometime in October."

Last year, the 27-year-old celebrity put on sale his first album "My Everything" with its track "Love Motion" as the main single.

"The purpose of this album (Song for You) is not to make a debut as a singer, but as a response to his fans who have made repeated requests for new songs. It will be a different sound from his first album," the Starhaus noted.

"You will be able to feel Lee Min Ho's heart towards fans in this new album. It will be filled with his delicate expression of emotion, which is expected to move the hearts of women," it added.

The Starhaus said the idol's latest album would be "more pop rock" than the first.

Meanwhile, Lee said he had never imagined himself singing in front of someone.

"I was so shy. But now I'm very happy that I can communicate with fans with all my heart," the actor said.

"I sing so I can express my emotions and communicate better with my fans and I would like to have more opportunities like this. Although, I wouldn't be able to do it often," he added.

Lee's popularity grew dramatically after he appeared in the Korean drama "Boys Over Flowers" in 2009.

The heartthrob is also known for his successful dramas such as "The Heirs" in 2013 and "City Hunter" in 2011.

The Starhaus said Lee is slated to hold his "Re:minho" fan meeting at Beijing in China on October 4.

"He will then visit Tokyo the following week for a two-day schedule," the agency added.

The company noted that Lee is expected to perform tracks off his latest album in the upcoming fan meetings.

Lee is now one of the most well-known actors in Asia with more than 15 million "likes" on his Facebook page.

Earlier, it has been reported that the heartthrob's Facebook ranks as the 16th most popular page among celebrities worldwide.
