The 30-year-old Lin, who is nicknamed "Super Dan", defeated World No. 1 Chong Wei Lee of Malaysia in the semifinals en route to his second Gold medal in a row at the tournament.

World No. 3 Yihan Wang defeated top seeded Xuerui Li to capture the Gold in an all-Chinese finals matchup in the women's division.

Wang came out slow as she lost the first set 11-21 but came back strong in the second set to tie the match and send the game into overtime.

In the third and deciding set, the 26-year-old from Shanghai was unstoppable as she went on to win the match 11-21 21-17 21-7.

"I'm very happy that we have won both the team and singles title," Wang said. "The win has boosted my confidence, and next, I'll make preparations to strive for qualifying for the Rio Olympics."

The Chinese nationals also won the team event in which Li was a part of.

"We both played well. But since she [Li] played in the team event, she was a bit behind physically," added Wang. She also added that the wind over the court was a big factor in winning the match.

China also claimed the Gold medal in the mixed doubles event giving China a total of four Gold medals to prove their dominancy in the sport in Asia.

Nan Zhang and Yunlei Zhao are the Olympic Gold medalist in London and have proven their domination at the mixed doubles competition with a straight set win over with Indonesia's Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir 21-16, 21-14.
