China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has allowed Apple Inc. to sell its new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in China by October, reports said on Tuesday.
China's phone regulator issued the network-access licenses after Apple agreed to improve user security and privacy.

The MIIT was concerned about the risks of personal information leaks related to the company’s operating system's diagnostic tools.
According to MIIT, Apple assured them that in the new version of their latest mobile-operating system, iOS 8, it has stepped up the protection for user's privacy and safety.
Apple also promised that it had not installed ‘backdoors’ to give other governments access to users' information.
The company has never worked with any government agency in any country to create "a backdoor" into its services or products, Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook said in a statement.
Pre-orders will start on October 10 but the new iphones would go on sale on October 17, reports confirmed.
Cook also added that the iPhones are to be made available at all three major Chinese state-owned phone carriers namely China Mobile Ltd., China Telecom Ltd. and China Unicom Ltd.
Prices of iPhone 6 are 5,288 yuan (US$860) for a 16-gigabyte model; 6,088 yuan (US$991) for a 64-gigabyte model; and 128-gigabyte will cost 6,888 yuan (US$1,121). The iPhone 6 Plus will be priced from 6,088 yuan (US$991) to 7,788 yuan (US$1,267).
