"The View" Hosts Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg Have Heated Exchange During Break

Just two weeks into the new season of "The View" a fight reportedly broke out between co-hosts Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg during the break. The heated exchange was said to have occurred in front of the studio audience.

Before the exchange, the panel was discussing spanking kids as the "Hot Topic" of the day. Goldberg, who had an earpiece on, had to cue for commercial as instructed by the producers. However, O'Donnell, who refuses to wear an earpiece, didn't hear the instruction and felt that Goldberg cut her off before she can finish her argument.

O'Donnell had a fit in front of the audience and told Goldberg "You hurt my feelings," adding "I'm very upset by it."

Goldberg tried to calm her fellow panelist down by telling her it wasn't the place to air out her grievances.

However, O'Donnell continued to be defensive and told Goldberg that she was very upset and that she didn't want to "go through this".

O'Donnell continued to rant which prompted an exasperated Goldberg to snap at her, saying, "F--- it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don't want to listen. If you want to go there, Rosie, I will, damn it. I'm really sick of your s---!"

Insiders said that the exchange left the audience stunned into silence, while Rosie Perez tried to break the tension by joking "Oh, s---, Twitter is going to be off the hook now."

After the break, the panelists proceeded as if nothing happened.

The spokeswoman of the show, Lauri Hogan, stated that the pair have resolved their differences and cleared up the misunderstanding. Hogan shared that it's business as usual for the panelists of "The View".

O'Donnell, who had walked out of the set and the show after a verbal spat with then-panelist Elisabeth Hasselbeck, has stated that she doesn't plan to leave the show this time around - that is, at least until her contract expires.
