Sandton Technologies released a new smartphone app called Good2Go that encourages users to give consent before engaging in any sexual acts.
Good2Go aims to prevent or reduce “sexual assault,” “miscommunication,” and “regretted activities” between college-age adults in college campuses.

The app will facilitate a step-by-step process wherein both parties can discuss their intentions and gain affirmative consent before considering a sexual encounter.
Good2go app works after users sign up with their name and phone number. After finding a partner, they can launch the app, hand the device to their potential partner and wait until they finish navigating the process to determine if they are willing or not to do the deed.
Originally, the app was simply an idea discussed between Allman, the app creator, and several college students and their parents.
Sandton Technologies President Lee Ann Allman was inspired to create this app after talking with her college-aged kids about the overwhelming sexual assaults that happened on college campuses across the country.
According to Allman, the purpose of Good2go is to teach young people "the language of affirmative consent."
"If the app becomes a tool that is adopted across campuses”, they believed that it will lessen “sexual assaults, unwanted or regretted encounters," Allman added.
Good2Go is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. This app is free on iTunes and Google Play.
