Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight, martial artist, and action star Cung Le has tested positive for a Human Growth Hormone (HGH). He is suspended from the UFC for nine months.
The controversy began with his most recent fight against Brit Michael Bisping in Macau, China.

In the camps leading to the fight, Le posted a photo on Instagram showing his ripped body after a workout.
The picture lead people, including Bisping and commentator Brian Stann, to question whether or not the physique was appropriate for Le, and whether Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs) were involved.
Le replied, saying that the picture was taken right after the intense workout and it was taken in flattering light.
Bisping though was not convinced, and requested the UFC to do both blood and urine testing.
The fight and the tests happened last August 23, more than a month before the results returned.
As the results revealed, Le did test positive for an excessive level of HGH. A statement form Zuffa said that Le would be suspended for nine months as he violated the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy and Promotional Agreement.
"The UFC has a strict, consistent policy against the use of any illegal and/or performance-enhancing drugs, stimulants or masking agents by our athletes," the statement said.
After the nine months of suspension, Le will need to pass a drug test in order to compete again.
The UFC has stated that it is working on a more comprehensive drug test plan.
Le is yet another fighter that has been caught for PEDs. Other fighters include Wanderlei Silva, Vitor Belfort, and Chael Sonnen.
