Despite having ended their romantic relationship years ago, Jennifer Lopez and Diddy still seem to share a mutual love and admiration for one another.

The rapper-producer recently made headlines when he said that Kim Kardashian's famed booty does not compare to his former flame's behind, calling Lopez's asset "a work of art". Meaning no disrespect to Kardashian or to her husband Kanye West, he shared that Lopez's derriere "will go down in history".

He also praised Lopez, who continues to be her good friend, for her determination and drive.

After news broke of his continuing admiration for Lopez, the singer also admitted to Access Hollywood that the love is mutual.

She shared that they were together almost everyday for three years and that she continues to be proud of what he has accomplished as he is of what she has done with her life.

Lopez referred to him as "Puff", although the rapper now referes to himself as simply "Diddy". The singer-actress shared that they will always root for each other and, what they shared in the past will never go away.

"He gave me so many cues and taught me so many things. I'll always be grateful to him for that and I love that he can be so supportive of me so many years later and that there's still so much mutual respect, admiration and love there," she shared.

And regarding his booty comments?

Lopez smiled and said she was thankful for what his former boyfriend said.

The singer explained, however, that when she started out as a dancer, she was heavily criticized for being bottom-heavy because people didn't see her as having a "traditional" body.

Lopez shared, "Now booty is in fashion, finally, but before it was just, 'You're heavy!' And I was like, 'Wait a minute, there's nothing wrong with me.' I'm a size six...eight...eight on a heavy day and that's OK, that's healthy."

Lopez and Diddy dated in the late 1990's while they worked together on Lopez's "On the 6" album. The two broke up in 2001 and have since dated other people and had children with other partners.
