Visitors could not enter the paper panda exhibition area, but the organizer tried to remove the wooden pallets under the pandas, blending the paper pandas in the street view. Taipei Major, Longbin Hao, and the artist who creates the paper pandas, Paulo Grangeon, showed the night view at 6 P.M.
It was very crowded in the Experience Area where visitors could take pictures with several paper pandas. A visitor, Mr. Wu, said that he was here with his family. Even though they had to wait in the line in the sun for 30 minutes to see paper pandas closely, his children were very excited and happy to hug the paper pandas. He felt touched that volunteers helped his family take family pictures.
The adorable pandas were very popular. 500 gifts of "Yuan Zai Growth Diary" DVDs distributed by Taipei City Hall were also very popular as they were distributed within 1 hour.
There were also Panda Vendor areas that sold mini paper pandas, mugs, T-shirts, and postcards. There were long lines in front of each vendor.
"Yuan Zai" was a present that Mainland China gave to Taiwan in July last year. There has been a hot trend in Taiwan due to its adorability. The exhibition of paper pandas extends the hot trend of panda in Taiwan. In addition, the exhibition advertises environmental protection with the numbers of existing pandas.
