Guilin police are appealing to the public for more clues that will lead to the arrest of a suspect that killed a woman inside her car on Tuesday night before fleeing on board a stolen motorcycle.
According to information from Guilin's Public Security Bureau, a woman was stabbed to death in her BMW car near Cangsong Road, Xiangshan District in Guilin City at 6:08 pm on March 3rd.
Police rushed to the scene upon receiving the emergency call but the suspect had fled using a red Galaxy 125 motorcycle which he stole and later abandoned.
The crime scene was cordoned off as of 9:30 pm and the victim's car was covered with waterproof cloth.
A witness named Mr. Wang said he saw a woman fighting with a man inside the car but initially thought it was a domestic quarrel until the woman screamed for help. Mr. Wang said he and some neighbors rushed to help the woman but the suspect managed to flee.
Police described the suspect as 35-40 years old, 165-170cm tall, wore a green shirt and dark pants and had a typical mandarin accent. They urge the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the suspect's arrest and resolution of the case.
