Foo Fighters Finish 'Sonic Highways'; Release New Album in November

American rock band Foo Fighters have just added that finishing touches to their HBO show, 'Sonic Highways,' just roughly two weeks before its debut on October 17 and will be releasing their eighth studio album in November.

Dave Grohl, the front man of the band, is busy tying loose ends for the upcoming documentary that centers on the activities and life of the band members for the past two years.

Other than that, the band is also running here and there for their eighth studio album which bears the same title as their documentary. The album is scheduled for release on November 10.

"This has been two years of my life, and I'm still not done, man," says Grohl in a recent interview with a Canadian news outlet.

Grohl revealed that the Foo Fighters, founded in 1994, had been engaged in various activities between their last two interviews, including approval of edits for the following episodes of the show that they are working on.

The musician says that the past two years of his life have been spent working on the project, adding that it was an amazing experience for him. Grohl stated that he can't wait for the project to be done, but despite the jammed schedule, he says that he'd probably miss doing the show.

Furthermore, despite his already hectic personal life - welcoming a daughter just roughly two months ago, five days after the passing of his father - Grohl appears to be reveling about the work he has done along with his band members.

Regarding the album that the band has been producing, Grohl, who is also the former drummer for Nirvana back in the days, says that he can't wait for their fans to hear their new song.

He says that he is excited about releasing the first track as it is different from any song they've worked on in the past.

"If we've ever gone out on a limb with a rock song, it's this song," the singer said, adding that despite thinking of the content of today's TV and radio, he can't think of any material to compare their new song to.

Finally, Grohl revealed that his band will be heading to Canada and will be playing in as many places as they could until they have to go on hiatus again.
