Hong Kong actress Anita Yuen caught Polly Leung, the former manager in charge of accepting jobs for artists under 3D Entertainment, scamming off a seven-figure sum from Chilam Cheung.
According to media reports, Leung, who used to be the actor's manager, obtained more than $1 million HKD by using Cheung's name to get large amounts of bakery coupons which she used to bribe many media outlets.

Cheung is said to have been unaware of what was happening, but his wife, Yuen, is said to have figured out what Leung was doing and reported her to Stephen Shiu Jr., the owner of 3D Entertainment.
The news about Leung's scheme is said to have reached Yuen through her network of friends which then made the actress look into the matter.
Based on insider reports, when the couple first discovered what Leung had been doing, they planned to call the police on her, but she said she was pregnant. Yuen and Cheung pitied her and didn't want her to give birth in prison, so they let the incident slide.
However, it allegedly turns out that Leung lied about her pregnancy. Angered for having their trust abused by the manager, Cheung and Yuen eventually decided to report her to Shiu in order to resolve the matter.
Furthermore, insider reports say that Leung also victimized actress Irene Wan. According to a source, Leung took millions of dollars (HKD) from Wan and used the same pregnancy scheme to get off the hook.
Other artists reported to have been victimized by Leung's scam allegedly include Joyce Chen and Jacquelin Chong.
On the other hand, Cheung cleared the issue, stating that the money that Leung scammed did not amount to millions of Hong Kong dollars. He refused to add more details surrounding the issue and stated that he and Yuen are going to let the company handle the problem.
