British royal couple Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton had warned two photographers to stop trailing their son, Prince George, and his nanny around public parks.
A Kensington Palace statement released on Thursday said lawyers of the royal couple have sent letters to the freelance photographers asking them to stop following George.

In the statement, a spokesman of the Palace said the letters were delivered "earlier this week."
He noted that William and Kate were prompted to take action after one of the photographers was spotted near the 14-month-old toddler, attempting to take pictures, in London's Battersea Park last week.
He said Prince George was removed from the park immediately.
"They are obviously concerned. No parent would tolerate the suspicion of someone pursuing and harassing their child and carer," the spokesman noted.
"The men had over a period of time established a pattern of behavior that we think amounts to harassment of Prince George and of his nanny. It's more the fundamental weirdness of two grown men following a 14-month-old baby around London that we're concerned about," he added.
He said the royal couple wants their son, who is third in line to the British throne, to have a normal childhood.
"Just like any parent, the Duke and Duchess want Prince George to lead an ordinary life with the freedom to safely experience normal childhood activities, like going to the park and playing with other children, without the threat of harassment or being placed under surveillance," he noted.
"The Duke and Duchess understand the particular public role that Prince George will one day inherit, but while he is young, he must be permitted to lead as ordinary a life as possible," he added.
The spokesman further noted that the royal couple is "grateful to the British press for refraining from publishing the paparazzi photos."
Last month, royal officials confirmed that the couple was expecting their second child.
As a result, Kate canceled some public engagements as she is suffering from severe morning sickness again, similar to what she experienced during her first pregnancy.
The royal couple's second child will become fourth in line to the British throne, shunting their uncle Prince Harry down to fifth.
