After her powerful performance in the new thriller "Gone Girl", actress Rosamund Pike jokingly shared that she was moved to create another human being. The actress is currently pregnant with her second child with partner, businessman Robie Uniake.

"It's a very hard thing to follow but I really needed to bring something positive into the world, so I set out immediately to get pregnant the moment I finished filming," she shared.

Pike portrays Amy Dunne in "Gone Girl", who is married to Nick, played by actor-director Ben Affleck. After Amy disappears on their fifth anniversary, a cloud of uncertainty surrounds Nick, when a coffee table is found shattered and blood is found hinting at a struggle. People are led to believe that Nick has killed her; however, as police proceed with their investigation, Nick soon discovers that his marriage wasn't as perfect as he thought it was.

Pike shared that playing Amy made her look at her own self. Amy was so believable with the facade she put up that it made Pike question where one's real and fake self actually began. However, she shared that having her two-year old son Solo rid her of the darkness of Amy's character once she got home.

"Luckily I have a two-year-old boy, which means that you walk through the door after filming some of that heavy stuff and generally get down on the floor with some Lego, which is a wonderful antidote to any self-analysis," she explained.

Pike wasn't the only one doing a lot of pretending on the set of "Gone Girl". Her co-star, Neil Patrick Harris, had to as well. Harris and Pike had to do an erotic love scene in the said movie.

In an interview with late night host Seth Meyers, Pike shared that she felt weird about doing her love scene with Harris, especially since both of them had their own respective husbands.

You're alone with a man who's not your husband who also has a husband ... he's in his underwear, you're in your underwear and you're sort of dry humping on a bed," she shared.
