A celebrity attorney, Attorney Martin Singer, who represents most of the A-list women celebrities in Hollywood, has announced that the celebrities whose nude photos have been leaked online might be suing Google with a US$1 million lawsuit due to the damages that the images have caused them.

However, Google announced on Thursday that they already took thousands of pictures as well as closed hundreds of accounts just so they could help prevent the spread of the photos that are reportedly from the private accounts, specifically iCloud, of the victims.
The first wave of nude photos released included that of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton during the Labor Day weekend in the image-sharing site called 4chan and a website with millions of members called Reddit. The hacker is reportedly also a 4chan user but investigators have not yet caught the culprit.
Singer has forwarded a letter accusing the biggest search engine site of not being able to quickly act and effectively resolve the issue when they were first approached and asked to take down the leaked photos. Most of the pictures have not been taken down in the other services, YouTube and Blogspot, Google offers.
In the letter, it is sated that the victims are celebrities and that their publicity rights should be valued. Also in the letter, they are accusing Google of collecting millions and dollars from advertisers who would like to capitalize on the current issue.
Google is also being accused of turning a blind eye as their services continue to exploit and abuse the women involved in the massive photo hacking.
Also, they have demanded that Google should remove all the images from their sites, suspend all users who posted the photos, suspend the sites that distributed the photos and delete all search-engine returns related to the leaked photos.
Google has responded to the letter saying that the Internet is used for many good things but stealing private photos of people is not one of its uses.
