Since news broke out that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were not present at pal George Clooney's wedding, Jennifer wanted to silence all speculation so the buzz would be over and done.

Mrs. Affleck came up with a very funny theory about why she and her husband were not invited to what seems to be one of the most talked about weddings of the year.

The "Men, Women and Children" actress was a guest at "The Tonight Show" on October 1 when she made her theory public.

Garner explained that it might have got something to do with Clooney's first impression of her.

She narrated the story of how one of her kids brought home lice, and pretty soon her whole family had been infected. To get rid of the lice, her whole family had put an oily medicine in their hair.

"We all got lice. It's making me itchy just to talk about it. This was years ago. It's not right now. I'm totally fine right now," she assured Jimmy Fallon.

While their heads played host to lice, she and Ben Affleck, the director of 2013 Best Picture "Argo", had to attend a party where she first met Clooney.

"We show up and the first person I see is George Clooney, and I'd never met George Clooney. I was kind of like, 'Ah, he's so handsome! Like, oh, my God!'" she said. "So, I see him and I walk up to him and I'm chatting with him, just trying to act like cool... And I can see that he smells me, you know? But he's trying to be polite."

That's when she concluded her theory. "People keep asking why we weren't at George's wedding and we were broth 'working' but I think he didn't want Licey there."

She continued joking by guessing what might have gone in Clooney's head. "He's like, 'No, we don't need the Afflecks. We're okay!'"

Talk about the importance of a great first impression.
