Apple Inc., according to tech news site Recode, intends to hold an event on Oct. 16 to unveil its newest Macs and iPads in its headquarters in Cupertino, Calif.

The site said launch will be "a more laid-back affair" compared to the iPhone launch in September. The previous event was correctly reported by Recode.

The launch would come approximately a month after the company flaunted its latest iPhones, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and its first wearable device, the Apple Watch.

The tech firm launched the products in an event at the Flint Performing Arts Center, near their headquarters. The venue on the De Anza College campus was the same place that the first-ever Macintosh computer was unveiled by Apple co-founder and former chief executive officer Steve Jobs, and guests such as Irish rock band U2 helped the company signal in its latest merchandise.

Recode said that Apple has chosen to hold the event at its headquarters this time around, in its Town Hall Auditorium. In the previous year, it launched the Mac Pro, iPad Mini with Retina Display and iPad Air at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco.

In the year before that, two iPad events were held, one in March at the Yerba Buena Center, and the other, in October at the California Theatre in San Jose, Calif.

In the alleged upcoming launch, it is anticipated that Apple would be showing off its new Mac OS X Yosemite operating system for computers, which was revealed at its Worldwide Developers Conference earlier in June, and its new iPads.

The tech company could also reveal new Mac computers, including iMacs.

Recent reports suggest the iPad could have the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, which is found on iPhones since the iPhone 5s, as well as a gold option.
