While "The American Gangster," Chael Sonnen has been served a two-year suspension following a failed drug test, he says that he still has a hard desire to compete.
Following his second failed drug test this year, and third for his career, Sonnen has been ousted from everything he had grown famous for.

In a recent interview with website MMAmania, Sonnen admitted that he misses the competition.
He went on to say that he doesn't have a lot of hobbies or friends, and he doesn't like days off.
"I have a day off, I just dread it," Sonnen said. "I would rather be out there working. Talking about the new talent coming up or the current talent that is already there."
While the desire to compete thrives within Sonnen, he said that the desire to train was fading away.
While he doesn't miss training, he misses the competition. He recently competed in Metamoris 4, a jiu-jitsu organization, where he lost his first fight to world champion Andre Galvao.
He is currently preparing to do MMA commentary with commentating legend, Jim Ross, formerly from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), under the banner of Battleground MMA.
Sonnen had failed Nevada State Athletic Commissions (NSAC) drug test and tested positive for Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs). The test showed signs of Human Growth Hormone and Recombinant Human Erythropoietin being used.
Sonnen was using these banned substances to wean himself off his long-time usage of Testosterone Replacement Theory (TRT). While it is a legitimate medical use, he did not tell the commission ahead of time.
He was then given the suspension, taking him out of competitive Mixed Martial Arts in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was also removed from his analyst and commentator position in Fox.
While his career seems grim, Sonnen did indicate that he was still under contract with the UFC despite the suspensions and all, which could indicate a possible return to the organization in the future.
