Hong Kong actress and model Liddy Li, after being caught in a scandal with movie director Oxide Pang, expressed disappointment and regret over the affair, saying she is to blame for her naiveté.
In an interview with Chinese media, Li finally talked about her much-publicized affair with Pang, saying she had been hurt over the whole matter.

According to the actress, the director allegedly 'threw her under the bus' in order to save his marriage with actress Sije Lee, adding that she had really been in love with Pang and that she believed in everything he said.
"I don't usually hold on to a person's promise, but some people really have a way of making you trust them," Li stated, adding, "I was to blame for being naive."
Li apologized for being the third party in the marriage, but also aired her grievances after Pang purportedly left her alone to fix things after their affair was discovered three months ago.
The actress said she tried breaking up with Pang after she found out that he was married, admitting that she didn't want to be the other woman, but just couldn't do it then.
"I allowed myself to continue on with the mistake," said Li.
When the affair went public, Pang declared that he was still dedicated to his wife, but had nothing to say about his relationship with Li, which then forced the actress to end her relationship with the director.
Li says she will be taking responsibility for what happened and says she understands that the whole thing was her fault, adding that she will avoid married men at all costs in the future.
She thanked her ex-boyfriend Simon for being there for her when she was suffering from criticisms, also refuting rumors that they were back together, insisting that they were only good friends.
