The racially-charged e-mail, which university officials are taking seriously, reads:
All students at Harvard.
My name is Stephanie Nguyen.
I live in Boston.
I will come tomorrow in Harvard University and shoot all of you each one of you all Harvard students, I will kill you individually.
I'll be back tomorrow at 11 o'clock in your fuc*ing university and will kill you, you sons of bitches.
Even Mark Zuckerberg of facebook I willl [sic] kill
I'm going to kill every one of you
I promise you, slit-eyes
In separate e-mails, also threatening harm, the unknown sender also used the names of Eduardo Nguyen and Huy Dinh in the e-mails. The names appear to be of Vietnamese extraction.
As reported by the Harvard Crimson school newspaper, members of the Harvard-Radcliffe Asian American Association opted to postpone an event highlighting the Asian-American experience at the university scheduled on October 4th.
"To all of our dear friends who received this afternoon's email, we express our sincerest sympathy and support," the organizers stated in an e-mail alerting students of the event's cancellation.
"No one should have to open their inbox and see a such a threatening and racially charged message."
While security has been stepped-up across the campus, a lockdown has not been instituted.
No reports of violence were reported from authorities at the university, located in Cambridge, MA, near Boston, but the school reached out the the FBI to help identify and apprehend the sender. Law authorities are still searching for the origin of the threatening letter.
