Facebook is reportedly working on a friend-to-friend payment feature using its Messenger app.
The payment system will allow users to send and receive money through Facebook Messenger by providing debit card information to the social network, reports said.
Stanford student developer Andrew Aude disclosed Facebook Messenger's hidden feature uses Cycript, an iOS and Mac OS X hacking tool used by developers, TechCrunch reported.

Aude discovered the payment feature after he saw security researcher Jonathan Zdziarski's post indicating payments-related code in Messenger.
"I first found it a month ago with Jonathan Zdziarski's security research into Facebook Messenger, Aude said.
On Oct. 4, Aude tweeted and claimed Facebook users can send money with their debit card via their smartphones, a feature similar to Square's Cash app users.
According to Aude, users can attach money the same way he attaches a photo or a location in Facebook Messenger.
There's no need to link a bank account or credit card on the standalone chat app. Only debit cards are accepted and it only allows person-to-person transactions, Aude added.
Based on the note Aude found in the code, Facebook Messenger will only support single payment attachment in the meantime. Multiple payment attachments will be supported in the future.
When asked about the hidden payment feature, Facebook declined to comment on the issue, reports said.
