No, this isn't some crazy casting rumor. The very British Tom Hiddleston best known for his role as Loki in Marvel's Thor and The Avengers and the secretly British Hugh Laurie are set to star in the BBC adaptation of John le Carre's 1993 espionage thriller, The Night Manager.

The Night Manager focuses on Jonathan Pine, a once British soldier, turned auditor for a luxury hotel. It is there that Piene meets Sophie, a French - Arab woman who gives him information on Richard Onslow Roper. Roper is a black market dealer who specializes in weapons, to turn over to British intelligence. Sophie then dies due to her betrayal of Roper and Pine becomes a spy with intelligence operatives in order to infiltrate Roper's ring and avenge Sophie's death. 

It has been confirmed that Hiddleston will be playing the lead role of Jonathan Pine and Laurie will be playing Richard Roper. News of who will be portraying key character Sophie has not been announced.

Hiddleston fans should not fret, however, as he will not be leaving the silver screen soon. The actor has signed on to lead the King Kong redo "Skull Island", is starring in acclaimed director Guillermo Del Toro's upcoming thriller movie "Crimson Peak". He is also currently in production for the Hank WIlliams biopic entitled "I Saw the Light" in which he portrays the singer himself.

This will mark Laurie's return to TV after his run as Dr. House in House M.D. ended in 2012.
