Crytek, a famous video game developing company, has wowed many video game and graphics enthusiasts with famous titles like the Crysis series that set the bar on video game graphics years ago.
But, recently, the developers say that impressing video game players with next generation graphics is harder today than before.

"As opposed to the times of the original Crysis, we as an industry have reached a quality level now where it is getting increasingly more difficult to really wow people," said Nicolas Schulz, the principal rendering engineer of Crytek.
The rendering engineer also deliberated on hardware limitations of the current generation of video game consoles and the high performance graphic processing units of PCs.
He said even with the current high performance GPUs or video cards, it still isn't enough to render 4k resolutions, an upcoming resolution standard, at 60 frames-per-second. The 4k resolution is four times larger than the current 1080 pixels standard.
Crytek is also responsible for the first Far Cry video game title powered by their, then, first graphics engine, CryEngine 1, back in 2004.
Their graphics engine has now evolved into CryEngine 3 that powered the last video game, Crysis 3, in their Crysis series.
The company is now developing Homefront: The Revolution, the sequel to Homefront released back in 2011. They also recently released free to play titles "Warface" and Arena of Fate.
Ryse: Son of Rome, which was originally for the Xbox One, will now be also released for the PC this October 10.
